Day 1: Arrive Paro International Airport

Upon arrival at Paro International airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative and the tour guide will receive and escort you to designated Hotels in Paro.

In the afternoon drive to the ruins of the 17th Century Drukgyel Dzong, an historic monument built by the Zhabdrung to commemorate his victory against invading Tibetans in 1644. In fine weather the towering peak of the sacred Mount Jomolhari (7314m) appears as a stunning backdrop. On the return drive to Paro, visit 7th Century Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples constructed by the Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo. Overnight at Paro.

Day 2: Paro to Thimphu

Today you will hike Tiger’s nest in the morning and in the evening you will drive to Thimphu the capital.overnight in Thimphu.

Day 3: Thimphu

In Thimphu you will visit Memorial chorten, changangkha lhakhang, minizoo, zilukha nunnery, national library, institute of arts & crafts, folk heritage museum, textile museum, weaving centre, and trashi choedzong. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 4: Thimphu to Punakha

Drives towards Punakha en-route Dochula pass (3116m) and visit Chimi Lhakhang the temple of fertility and Punakha dzong. Overnight in Punakha.

Day 5: Punakha to Gangtey goemba/Phobjikha

Today after breakfast you will drive to Phobjikha valley, the winter home of black necked and one of the glacial valley. You will pass through Wangdue town, the last town in western before arriving in central Bhutan. Visit Wangdue phodrang dzong built in 1639. Overnight in Phobjikha valley.

Day 6: Phobjikha Valley to Trongsa

In the morning visit Gangtey goemba the 17th century monastery and the only Nyingmapa monastery in western Bhutan. Then after that you drive to Trongsa en-route Pele la pass 3390m and you will enter the central part of Bhutan . overnight in Trongsa.

Day 7: Trongsa to Bumthang

Visit Trongsa dzong, built in 1648 and the ancestral home of royal families where the first and second king ruled the country from this ancient seat. Every crown prince holds the post of Trongsa penlop prior to ascending to the throne. Then visit Ta dzong , the ancient watch tower now the heritage meseum. Later drives to Bumthang en-route yotong la pass 3425m. Overnight in Bumthang.

Day 8: Bumthang

Here in Bumthang you can visit many sacred temples and monasteries, they are Jakar dzong built in 1549 the administrative centre of Bumthang district. Jambay Lhakhang 7th century temple, Kurjey Lhakhang, Tamshing Lhakhang, Kenchosum Lhakhang and the Mebar tsho (the burning lake). Overnight in Bumthang.

Day 9: Bumthang to Mongar

The journey from Bumthang to Mongar is one of most beautiful in Bhutan crossing Thrumshing la pass 3800m the highest pass. It is also the beginning of the eastern Bhutan. If it is in spring season you will see different kinds of rhododendron flowers and drives through dense forest of blue pine trees. You will drive en-route gushing waterfalls and steep cliffs. Mongar town is the second largest town in eastern region. Overnight in Mongar.

Day 10: Mongar to Trashigang

In the morning visit Mongar dzong one of the new dzongs compare to other dzongs in Bhutan, reconstructed by order of the 3rd king. The road from Mongar to Trashigang passes through another pass called Korila pass 2298m. After arriving in Trashigang visit the 17th century dzong, thenexplore the town which is the market place for the hill people of Merak & Sakten (nomadic people). Overnight in Trashigang.

Day 11: Trashigang (Excursion to Trashi yangtse district)

Today you will drive to Trashiyangtse district another winter home of black necked crane. The area is also known for its exceptional woodcraft. It is formerly a sub division of Trashigang and is now one of the newest districts. On the way you will visit Gonphu kora temple and Trashi yangtse dzong. While reaching in town you will visit Chorten kora one of the only two chorten built in Nepalese style. Later drive back to Trashigang for the night.

Day 12: Trashigang to Samdrup Jongkhar

The journey from Trashigang to Samdrup Jongkhar passes through a small hamlet of kanglung where one of the Bhutan’s colleges called Sherubtse is located. Further along the road is a small town of Khaling, here you will visit weaving centre and the Blind school. The road further descends through thick forest before reaching Samdrup Jongkhar. Overnight in Samdrup Jongkhar.

Day 13: Samdrup Jongkhar (Departure)
